As-built BIM models can be used to populate majority of the information related to Facility Management and Operations by consolidating all this information in one place unlike traditional practice information were scattered in different drawings, files and folders. This consolidated information can be easily transferred into any CAFM (Computer aided Facility Management Systems) or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). This information can be further extracted in COBie format which can directly be imported into CAFM/CMMS/BAS systems.
